about us

who we are

In the triumphant spirit of Harriet Tubman, the Harriet Tubman Learning Center, Inc. (HTLC) was created to directly impact the deep-rooted and growing problem of illiteracy in US communities. At the root of this problem, is a gross lack of educational resources and funding in our communities.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we work alongside our board of directors, sponsors, volunteers, family support to further our mission:

  1. To provide financial support for the development of educational opportunities to increase literacy

  2. To provide a comprehensive foundation for enhancing academic achievement through individual assessments and evaluation

  3. To implement proven initiatives centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math (STEAM) for the sustainable future academic success of our students
